The Hol Day of Sultan Ahmad Shah is a day of remembrance observed in the state of Pahang. "Hari Hol" refers to a traditional day of prayer and memorial for a deceased Ruler. It serves as a solemn occasion for the people to reflect on the legacy and contributions of the late Sultan to the development of the state and the welfare of its citizens.

Traditions & Celebrations

Special Prayers (Tahlil): Religious ceremonies, including Tahlil and Yasin recitations, are held at the Sultan Ahmad Shah State Mosque and other mosques throughout the state.
Visit to the Royal Mausoleum: Members of the Royal Family and state dignitaries visit the Royal Mausoleum (Makam Diraja) in Pekan to offer prayers and pay their respects.
Charity and Alms: The day is often marked by acts of charity and the distribution of food or donations to the less fortunate in memory of the late Sultan.
Flags at Half-Mast: As a sign of respect and mourning, the state flag of Pahang may be flown at half-mast on government buildings.
