The second day of Hari Raya Aidiladha (Qurban) is a continuation of the "Festival of Sacrifice." In the northern and east coast states of Malaysia, the celebrations extend beyond the first day to ensure there is sufficient time to complete the sacrificial rituals and facilitate family gatherings across rural communities.

Traditions & Celebrations

Ongoing Sacrificial Rites: The ritual of Qurban (sacrificing cattle or goats) continues into the second and third days (the days of Tashriq) for those who could not perform it on the first day.
Community Feasts (Kenduri): Villagers and neighbors often organize communal feasts where the freshly prepared meat is cooked in large pots and shared with the entire neighborhood.
Extended Family Visits: Many people take this day to visit elderly relatives and extended family members living in remote areas.
Charity Distribution: The process of cleaning, packing, and distributing the sacrificial meat to the poor and needy continues throughout the day.
