State Holiday

Good Friday is a Christian holiday commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his death at Calvary. It is observed during Holy Week as part of the Paschal Triduum. Traditions & Celebrations

Church Services: Christians attend special church services, often held at 3:00 PM (the biblical hour of Jesus' death), which include the reading of the Passion of Christ and the Veneration of the Cross.
Stations of the Cross: Many churches organize a symbolic 14-step devotion that commemorates Jesus Christ's last day on Earth as a man.
Fasting and Abstinence: Many devotees fast or abstain from eating meat as a sign of penance and mourning.
Solemn Processions: In some parishes, silent processions are held to reflect on the sacrifice made by Jesus.
