Federal Territory Day commemorates the formation of Malaysia's Federal Territories. It marks the anniversary of the transfer of Kuala Lumpur from the state of Selangor to the Federal Government in 1974. Today, it includes Kuala Lumpur, Labuan (joined 1984), and Putrajaya (joined 2001).

Investiture Ceremony: The Yang di-Pertuan Agong confers federal awards and honors to citizens who have contributed significantly to the development of the territories.
Parades and Festivals: Various parades, cultural performances, and fireworks displays are organized across the three territories.
