Deepavali celebrates the spiritual victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. Traditions & Celebrations

Kolam Decor: Intricate and colorful patterns called Kolam are created at entrances using dyed rice or flour to welcome prosperity and guests.
Oil Bath Ritual: The day begins with a traditional ritual oil bath before dawn, symbolizing the cleansing of the soul and the start of a new life.
Prayers at Temples: Families dressed in new traditional attire, such as Saris and Dhothis, visit temples to offer prayers and seek blessings.
Open Houses: A hallmark of Malaysian culture, Hindus host "Open Houses" where friends of all races and religions are invited to share festive meals like Murukku, Ladoo, and various curries.
