This is a state public holiday in Negeri Sembilan to celebrate the official birthday of the Yang di-Pertuan Besar. The ruler of Negeri Sembilan is unique as he is elected by the Undang Yang Empat (the four territorial chiefs) according to the Adat Perpatih (matrilineal) system.

Traditions & Celebrations

Investiture Ceremony: Held at the Istana Besar Seri Menanti, where state awards and medals are conferred upon deserving individuals.
Royal Parade: A ceremonial guard of honor by uniformed forces to pay tribute to the ruler.
Religious Services: Special prayers of thanks (Kesyukuran) and prayers for the ruler's well-being are held at mosques throughout the state.
Community Events: Sporting events, cultural carnivals, and exhibitions are often organized for the public to participate in the festivities.
