Maal Hijrah Awards: At the national level, the government confers the "Tokoh Maal Hijrah" award to individuals who have made significant contributions to Islam and society.
Community Gatherings: Families and local communities often gather for religious chants (Nasyid and Zikir) and share simple communal meals like Bubur Asyura.
